Rage of the Random Actor Live Addendum
Chapter 23
Suicide Attackers, Casting a Wider Net
DK (08-15-2006):
UK Suicide Plane Terror Plot Foiled - Familiar Random Actor pattern: Most
suspects are teens and young adults, educated, from middle-class families,
includes Brits who aren't of Asian or Middle Eastern heritage, and news accounts
already spell out the Random Actor traits. This is the same pattern as the
London Tube bombing and the
foiled Canadian terror plot earlier this year. As noted throughout Rage of the Random Actor, you people who are affluent/educated who have the Random Actor traits are
the selected targets to be recruited. The first news accounts are like most
other Random Actor incidents: they seem nice, but then there is this other
side. Also, as detailed in Chapter 19, Islamic extremist groups have
been successfully recruiting British kids and young adults who aren't of Asian
or Middle Eastern heritage. One of the suspects arrested, Don Stewart-Whyte (21)
is an example: his father is a politician and his sister is a famous Victoria
Secrets model. All this against the familiar background that most who knew them
didn't suspect anything - because they couldn't read the Random Actor traits. Article - Profile of Stewart-Whyte Article - Profile of another suspect

DK (06-03-2006): In Canadian terrorist plot, like other
countries, teens and young adults are recruited and captured — In the
Canadian plot 3 tons of explosives similar to what was used in the 1995 Oklahoma
City attack was captured along with Canadian teens and young male adults.

DK (12-5-05): First Female European Suicide Bomber and My
"Predictions" on CNN — I received a call on December 1, while in the
middle of a profiling workshop, that CNN wanted me to appear on their news
broadcast "Live From" within the hour. I had to ask the attendees if they would
eat lunch without me, I dashed out to a studio, quickly prepared my notes, and
reviewed the contents of Chapter 23. On the air I explained that most attackers
have the Random Actor profile and that women typically have something go "south"
in their personal life. I "predicted" several elements in the young woman's
life, that hadn't yet been made public, but are consistent with the many other
stories in Rage of the Random Actor. Click to watch the interview (uses Windows Media Player). Tonight, four days later, the New
York Times released an article about Muriel Degauge, a 38-year-old Belgian
woman, that confirmed what I stated on the air:
1. From small town suburb, not poor neighborhood
2. Educated
3. Severe personal trauma that accelerated downward spiral (lost her brother
& previously divorced) Fearful trait
4. Extremely unconventional: member of a motorcycle club, used
drugs, attached to extreme from of Islam, etc.

In the end, its just another sad tale that tells us
that the big picture starts at home and how we face the personal tragedies in
our lives.
Significance: If we know the consistent threads, we can
intervene target-specific as outlined in Chapters 13 - 16 and prevent most
incidents.

DK (11/15/05): First husband-wife suicide team— Elevates the meaning of a dysfunctional
family to a new level. An Iraqi husband and wife don ceremonial attire and
go to a wedding in Jordan to commit suicide-homicidal attack. Wife claims her
device didn't work, so her husband told her to leave the wedding and he
detonated, killing over 50. Below, she demonstrates on TV how she wore device to
the wedding of someone she didn't know. As noted in Chapter 23, women are
terribly difficult to recruit. It is predictable that as the full story tumbles
out that she has lost close family relatives and probably has no children, is
infertile, has miscarried, etc.
Like other suicide attacker cases, people try to
read her COMMUNICATION traits and are fooled. As quoted in the Times of
London: "I expected to see a tough-looking combatant,
not someone so plain," said Bayan, a Jordanian housewife.

DK (Sept. 2005): insurgents
in 2005 continue to force innocents to commit attacks perhaps as available

First Female
Bomb Maker Arrested — updated stats on female suicide attackers ( AP
10-12-2005)
From AP story: In the past five years, a total of 67 Palestinian women were recruited as suicide bombers, including eight who carried out their mission and 59 who were intercepted and arrested. In all, about 7 percent of actual suicide bombings were carried out by women.
Young woman recruited by Hamas arrested. Young, university student, 22, wanted
to be a teacher . . . probably not driven by high FEARFUL decision making
(as per example on p. 421). Article for details.
