PURPOSE
The purpose of the Academy is to train professionals and qualified private citizens who can train the persons required to initiate the MPS in a community. Typically, professionals who are suited to provide this training are from: education, law enforcement, social services, mental health, juvenile justice, probation, church ministries, service clubs, and so on. Others, such as those who are retired or parents in a school can also be effective trainers.

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A TRAINER

The qualifications to be a candidate to be a Master Trainer are as follows:
    · Ability to communicate and train a broad cross-section of people.
    · Familiarity and understanding of local at-risk youth issues.
    · Letter of reference from community leaders, school official, etc.

(While not everyone has the necessary skills, everyone can support this effort in their local communities, such as hosting a monthly meeting of your school's Protectors.)

CERTIFIED TRAINER RIGHTS & OBLIGATIONS

        mission of the MPS.
     · A list of certified trainers will be made available to communities that are
seeking to implement the MPS, but who do not want their own Master
       Trainer.
     · Master trainers must provide Korem & Associates materials (manuals,
books, follow-up videos, etc.) for each Coordinator, Team Captain, Protector,
and Presenter trained. The cost is about $25 per person (about $50 of
materials is provided.) Certified Trainers will purchase materials for $20 per
