PURPOSE
The purpose of the Academy is to train professionals
and qualified private citizens who can train the persons required to
initiate the MPS in a community.
Typically, professionals who are suited to provide this training are from:
education, law enforcement, social services, mental health, juvenile
justice, probation, church ministries, service clubs, and so on. Others,
such as those who are retired or parents in a school can also be effective
trainers.
QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications to be a candidate to be a Master Trainer are as
follows:
· Ability to communicate and train a broad
cross-section of people.
·
Familiarity and understanding of local
at-risk youth issues.
· Letter of reference from community leaders, school official,
etc.
(While not everyone has the necessary skills, everyone can support this
effort in their local communities, such as hosting a monthly meeting
of your school's Protectors.)
CERTIFIED

·
May facilitate training anywhere within his/her state.
·
May charge up to $500.00 US per day for training plus lodging & expenses.
The idea here is that certified
Master Trainers may of may not choose to
charge for their time. Trainers
who do charge for their time can earn enough
to justify their time, but may
not charge large fees, in keeping with the
mission of the MPS.
·
A list of certified trainers will be made available to communities that
are
seeking to implement the MPS, but who
do not want their own Master
Trainer.
·
Master trainers must provide Korem & Associates materials (manuals,
books, follow-up videos, etc.) for
each Coordinator, Team Captain, Protector,
and Presenter trained. The cost is
about $25 per person (about $50 of
materials is provided.) Certified
Trainers will purchase materials for $20 per

may charge those they train $25 each to
cover administrative costs of
handling materials, or the additional $5 can be
